Ⅰ. Prologue

The world in which we live is changing into a hyperconnected society. At the heart of this change is the Internet of Things (Iot) technology. IoT technology is largely divided into three categories. The first is sensing technology that collects data with a sensor. There are many different types of data that can be collected by a sensor including temperature, humidity, illuminance, heat, gas, smoke, airflow amount, airflow direction, orientation, motion, ultrasonic waves, radar, position (GPS), and video (camera). The currently commercialized sensing technology goes beyond simply detecting physical data, and even analyzes the collected data and extracts it as meaningful information. The second is Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth • Low-Power Wide-Area (LPWA) SigFox, LoRa WAN and other wired and wireless communication technologies. 3GPP, a mobile communication standardization organization, is also developing standardization for LTE-M (LTE-MTC), a communication standard dedicated to IoT. The third is service interface technology. This technology includes storing, extracting, processing, judging technology and security, authentication technology, middleware technology, web service technology, and social network service technology.

With the introduction of IoT throughout our lives, we have been able to remotely control all electronic devices in our home, including home appliances. People can monitor and control various devices such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, household appliances, water, electricity, lighting, air conditioning, CCTV, etc., and optimized information and services are provided to people through big data and AI. When IoT is applied to production plants, it is possible to perform integrated management that transcends the physical boundaries between corporations. This is why IoT is considered the core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Consequently, IoT will affect the entire industry, including energy and health care, and will bring about fundamental changes in the interaction between people and things (machines) and between things (machines) and things (machines).

Therefore, we are focusing on the following areas.

1. As a result, IoT is a technology that people are developing and advancing for the convenience of life, and the use of the actual technology is carried out on smartphones (that people have).
2. The benefits that IoT will provide to people are beyond the imagination, but since they are being serviced through Internet communication networks, human life and security vulnerabilities are enormous.

As a result, the NTON (Next Technology is On) team, which was formed and comprised of experts in each field to solve this problem, came to the following conclusions.

1. In order to continuously develop and advance IoT, we need a specialized smartphone to continuously update and implement our technology. We are limited to only embedding applications in other company's products. Even if manufacturing takes the OEM method, we need our own specialized smartphone.
2. We believe that security problems will be solved by installing blockchain technology on our smartphones so that all data generated and moved by IoT can be distributed and stored on the blockchain through POW/POS authentication.
3. In order for our smartphones to be widely distributed, it is necessary to provide economic benefits to users, so there is a need to design so that users can mine cryptocurrency in the form of compensation in the process of using their smartphones.
4. Cryptocurrency needs to be designed to be used as various forms of payment in our smartphone network, and it is necessary to develop an economic ecosystem to create economic value.

Therefore, this white paper is intended to provide an answer to the above conclusions, and is composed of the following.

1. Description of Nextgear™ (smartphone) Hardware (H/W) and Software (S/W) ☞ See Section II below
2. Description of Blockchain Application mounted on Nextgear™ (smartphone) ☞ See Section III below
3. Description of cryptocurrency NTON and NTON mining ☞ See Section IV below
4. Description of the economic ecosystem of NTON ☞ See Section V below

In the future, IoT technology will develop in various directions, but our NTON team is promoting the collaboration between various groups in the 'NTON Platform' so that IoT technology can be expanded to more diverse devices. The 'NTON Platform' includes the NTON Team, Business Partners, Governance Participants, Developer Community, Nextgear™ User Group, etc. The NTON Governance will support activities such as Public Network Maintenance, S/W Development Improvement, Knowledge Network Expansion, and Participant Feedback Adjustments. Our NTON team believes that IoT technology based on blockchain technology will advance the digital business faster and will do its best to be the cornerstone for this.

NTON is cryptocurrency issued to provide economic benefits in the form of compensation to users of 'Nextgear™' (smartphone) specialized in IoT. Therefore, NTON is given to 'Nextgear™' users as compensation, and the users mine and acquire NTON in the process of using their smartphones every day.

The NTON acquired by users is used as a payment method in the'Nextgear™' economic ecosystem and can be exchanged for national currency through a cryptocurrency exchange.

As a result, NTON is ‘Nextgear™ World’ comprised of ①Nextgear™ Hardware (H/W), ②Nextgear™ Software (S/W), ③Nextgear™ Blockchain Network, ④ NTON Mining Application, and ⑤Nextgear™ Economic Ecosystem.
